Tyrese Haliburton sounds ready to move past the injury questions.
The Pacers guard said his body feels strong again after a difficult year. "My body feels great," Haliburton said. "I feel great moving. I feel great playing. My body just feels great in all honesty. I've never felt this strong."
Haliburton added that he still has conditioning work ahead of him, but the timing is encouraging. It is only the end of June, and he pointed to having roughly three more months before the season rhythm arrives.
"I feel like I'm in good shape, NBA shape, but there's a difference between NBA shape and Tyrese Haliburton shape," he said. "I'll get there."
The bigger part of his update was freedom. Haliburton said he feels like he is operating as a healthy NBA player for the first time in a long time. He also noted that working with kids without constant health questions from the Pacers means a lot to him.
"It's something I don't take for granted after the last 12 months," Haliburton said.
Indiana's season outlook still depends heavily on how quickly he returns to his normal level. For now, the tone is shifting from rehab status to basketball readiness.
