Knicks Complete Largest Comeback in NBA Finals History

Madison Square Garden during the New York Knicks' historic NBA Finals comeback
Summary

New York erased a 29-point deficit, beat San Antonio 107-106 on OG Anunoby's late tip-in and moved within one win of the NBA title.

The Knicks came back from 29 points down and beat the Spurs 107-106 in Game 4, completing the largest rally in NBA Finals history. New York now leads the series 3-1.

OG Anunoby delivered the winning basket at Madison Square Garden, tipping in Jalen Brunson's miss with 1.2 seconds left. Anunoby scored 33 points and hit seven 3-pointers. Brunson led New York with 36 points and seven assists.

San Antonio had controlled the first half. The Spurs led 76-49 at the break after making a Finals-record 14 threes, but managed only 30 points in the second half as New York's defense changed the game. Victor Wembanyama finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds.

The Knicks did not lead until Brunson's floater with 1:10 remaining. Their 29-point recovery broke the previous Finals record of 24, set by Boston against the Lakers in 2008.
