Still, the number captures the shift around the series. Before Game 1, the Spurs had the Victor Wembanyama pull, the fresh Finals story and the kind of offense that had been hard to slow down. After Game 1, the Knicks had the lead, a 12-game playoff winning streak, and proof that their size and late-game execution can travel against San Antonio.
A 57% market number does not decide anything. Game 2 can swing the conversation back fast, especially with Wembanyama involved. But it does show how quickly New York's Finals case has gone from feel-good run to something the market is treating as the more likely outcome.
