The NBA's review of the final two minutes found one officiating mistake against each team in the Knicks' 107-106 Game 4 win.
New York missed out on a technical free throw and possession with 1:26 remaining. Victor Wembanyama straddled the lane line and stayed in the paint longer than three seconds without actively guarding an opponent, but no defensive three-second violation was called.
At 1:02.9, San Antonio lost a possession. Stephon Castle was incorrectly called out of bounds while driving after Josh Hart impeded him.
The league supported the officials on the other controversial plays. OG Anunoby got the ball before making incidental arm contact with De'Aaron Fox on the Spurs' last drive. Jose Alvarado was not guilty of a backcourt violation because the ball never crossed midcourt. Josh Hart's shooting foul on Castle with 30.3 seconds left was ruled correct.
Karl-Anthony Towns also tipped San Antonio's final inbound pass, so the clock should have started sooner. The NBA said the timing mistake did not change the result.
