The Los Angeles Lakers are among the teams expected to pursue New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson this summer, according to a report from Jake Fischer.
Robinson is reportedly drawing significant interest ahead of free agency. The Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Hornets have also been identified as teams looking for upgrades at center.
The 28-year-old has strengthened his market with an impactful playoff run for New York. His rim protection, rebounding and ability to create extra possessions could make him an attractive option for several teams with a need at the position.
For the Lakers, Robinson would provide a physical interior presence and give the roster another proven defensive big man. The level of Los Angeles' interest and Robinson's potential price remain unclear.
