The Minnesota Timberwolves could look noticeably different when next season begins. The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski expects a "fairly significant roster change" and does not believe the starting lineup on opening night will match the group that finished this season.
That forecast does not mean Minnesota has a deal lined up. Krawczynski described a move for Giannis Antetokounmpo as especially difficult to complete, while calling Kyrie Irving a more realistic possibility.
Kawhi Leonard and Jalen Suggs are also among the names being discussed around the Timberwolves, though Krawczynski framed both as part of the rumor mill rather than confirmed trade talks.
Minnesota's front office now enters an offseason with several possible directions. The clearest expectation is change somewhere in the starting five; which player moves, and which target becomes attainable, remains unsettled.
