Minnesota is bringing the trees back, but this is more than a throwback uniform release.
The Timberwolves unveiled an all-new logo, three uniform editions and redesigned courts as part of a full visual refresh. The franchise's original blue, green and white colors have been updated, and trees are now worked throughout the team's main identity.
The direction came after years of fan feedback. Minnesota said supporters repeatedly connected with specific parts of the franchise's past, especially the iconic tree-lined uniforms. The new look also includes subtle references to the Old Shep era.
Those older elements were used as a starting point, not copied outright. The Wolves described the redesign as an identity for the current organization, combining recognizable history with the confidence and energy of the team leading the franchise today.
There are three new uniform sets: Association, Icon and Statement. Each edition has its own details and a matching court design, creating one coordinated presentation across the logo, uniforms and playing floor.
Minnesota also launched a digital experience for fans to examine the complete uniform details and court visuals. It shows how the tree pattern and evolved color palette carry from one edition to another, instead of appearing as isolated references to the past.
Timberwolves and Lynx CEO Matt Caldwell said the franchise means something different to every generation of fans. Minnesota wanted to preserve the pieces people have always connected with while producing a look that feels true to the team and its surrounding culture now.
The Iowa Wolves are part of the refresh as well. Minnesota's G League affiliate has introduced a matching brand identity and plans to unveil its new uniforms and court in the fall.
That makes the announcement a broader organizational change, not only a new set of NBA jerseys. The Timberwolves' look is available now, while Iowa's full uniform and court presentation will complete the rollout later this year.
