Coby White

White is a scoring guard whose NBA career has been defined by microwave scoring ability, three-point shooting, and steady offensive progression from a bench spark to a full-time starter. Born Alec Jacoby White on February 16, 2000, he played high school basketball at the Greenfield School in Wilson, North Carolina, where he scored 3,573 points over four years to become the all-time leading scorer in North Carolina high school basketball history, breaking the record previously held by JamesOn Curry. He was named North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior and senior, won North Carolina Mr. Basketball, and was named USA Today North Carolina Player of the Year. He was a 2018 McDonald's All-American and a MaxPreps All-America first team selection. During the summer of 2018, he played for the USA U18 national team at the FIBA Under-18 Americas Championship in Canada, leading the team in scoring en route to a gold medal and earning all-tournament honors.
