Patrick Baldwin Jr.

Baldwin is an American forward who entered the NBA as a first-round pick in 2022 after a single season at Milwaukee. A highly touted prospect out of high school, he has shown flashes of scoring potential and three-point shooting but has faced challenges adapting to the NBA level.

Born on November 1, 2002, in Evanston, Illinois, Baldwin attended Hamilton High School in Sussex, Wisconsin, before transferring to his father's program at Milwaukee. He was rated a consensus five-star recruit and a McDonald's All-American. He committed to Milwaukee to play for his father.

At Milwaukee, Baldwin played only 11 games due to injuries, averaging 12.1 points and 5.8 rebounds. Despite the limited sample size, his size and shooting touch intrigued NBA scouts. He declared for the 2022 NBA draft.

The Golden State Warriors selected Baldwin with the 28th overall pick in 2022. He signed his rookie contract but saw limited playing time during his rookie season. He was later traded to the Washington Wizards and eventually signed with the Sacramento Kings on a two-way contract.

Baldwin is a stretch forward with size and three-point range. His game is built on spot-up shooting, attacking closeouts, and finishing in transition.
