Born Kobe Levose Brown on January 1, 2000, in Huntsville, Alabama, he attended Lee High School, where his father Greg served as his coach. As a junior, he averaged 20.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 6.8 assists and was named first-team All-State. As a senior, he averaged 24.1 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists and was named Huntsville Region Player of the Year. He was rated a four-star recruit and initially committed to Texas A&M before decommitting and signing with Missouri.

At Missouri, Brown averaged 5.8 points and 3.7 rebounds as a freshman, then 8.0 points and 6.2 rebounds as a sophomore. He was named second-team All-SEC after leading Missouri with 12.5 points and 7.6 rebounds as a junior. As a senior, he was a first-team All-SEC selection and the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He was selected by the Clippers with the 30th overall pick in the 2023 draft.

Brown made his NBA debut on October 25, 2023, without scoring in five minutes. He made 44 appearances as a rookie, averaging 2.0 points and 1.4 rebounds. He played 40 games in 2024-25 and 34 games in 2025-26, gradually expanding his role. On February 5, 2026, he was traded to the Indiana Pacers alongside Ivica Zubac for Bennedict Mathurin, Isaiah Jackson, and draft picks.

Brown is a versatile forward with playmaking vision, defensive versatility, and a willingness to take on tough assignments. He scores on cuts, post-ups, and occasional three-pointers, and he uses his size to guard multiple positions. His offensive game is built on efficiency and positional flexibility rather than volume shooting.

Brown enters each season as a young forward with the Indiana Pacers, carrying the expectations of a first-round pick and a decorated SEC pedigree. His trajectory from an Alabama high school to a Missouri standout and an NBA draft pick reflects physical development and a commitment to expanding his game at every level.
