Jamison Battle

Battle is an American forward who reached the NBA as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and has developed into a rotation player for the Toronto Raptors after a decorated college career that spanned three programs and produced over 2,000 career points. His professional trajectory reflects a shooter with size who improved his role at every collegiate stop before earning an NBA contract.

Born on May 10, 2001, Battle played at DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he was teammates with Tyrell Terry. As a senior, he averaged 21.2 points and nine rebounds and helped the program win the Class 3A state title. He committed to George Washington for college basketball.

As a freshman at George Washington, Battle averaged 11.8 points and 5.2 rebounds and was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team. He set a program single-season record with 89 three-pointers, which also led the conference. As a sophomore, he averaged 17.3 points and 5.2 rebounds and earned Third Team All-Atlantic 10 honors.

For his junior season, Battle transferred to Minnesota and played under first-year head coach Ben Johnson. He was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten and averaged 17.5 points and 6.3 rebounds. As a senior, his scoring dipped to 12.4 points per game. He transferred to Ohio State for his final collegiate season and passed the 2,000 career point mark in his last game, a loss to Georgia in the 2024 National Invitation Tournament.

After going undrafted, Battle signed with the Toronto Raptors on July 16, 2024. Toronto converted his deal to a two-way contract on October 19. On November 27, he scored a career-high 24 points on 9-of-11 shooting, including 6-of-8 from three, in a win over the New Orleans Pelicans. On February 7, 2025, his contract was converted to a standard three-year deal. On April 23, 2026, he scored 14 points in 16 minutes off the bench in a playoff win over Cleveland, making all of his field goal attempts in the fourth quarter.

Battle is a stretch forward with a reliable three-point stroke and size to shoot over closing defenders. He scores on catch-and-shoot opportunities, mid-range pull-ups, and occasional post-ups against smaller wings. His perimeter shooting and positional versatility make him a situational option for teams needing floor spacing from the forward spot.
