Kam Jones

Jones is an American guard who entered the NBA as a second-round pick in 2025 after a decorated four-year career at Marquette, where he emerged as one of the Big East's premier scorers and playmakers. He has played for the Indiana Pacers, arriving in the league with a reputation as an efficient offensive threat.

Born Kameron Deshun Jones on February 25, 2002, in Memphis, Tennessee, he boxed in addition to playing basketball growing up. He attended Evangelical Christian School, where he averaged 14.3 points as a sophomore and 19.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists as a junior. He committed to Marquette over South Alabama and Florida.

At Marquette, Jones averaged 7.4 points as a freshman and earned Big East All-Freshman Team honors. As a sophomore, he averaged 15.1 points and was named Second Team All-Big East. As a junior, he averaged 17.2 points and helped the Golden Eagles reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. As a senior, he averaged 19.2 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds and was named a consensus Second Team All-American.

The San Antonio Spurs selected Jones with the 38th overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft and traded him to the Indiana Pacers. He made his professional debut for the Pacers' G League affiliate, the Noblesville Boom, on December 19, 2025, and his NBA debut on December 22, scoring two points in one minute.

Jones is a skilled guard with a smooth shooting stroke, deep range, and playmaking vision. He scores on catch-and-shoot threes, off-the-dribble pull-ups, and timely cuts to the basket. His basketball IQ and offensive efficiency make him a valuable floor-spacing option and a developmental prospect.
