Across the Hornets' last two seasons, including play-in games, either LaMelo Ball or Miles Bridges led the team in scoring 92 times in 166 games. The Reddit post that surfaced the number broke it down as 55 games in 2024-25 and 37 games in 2025-26, including games where one of them tied a teammate for the team lead.
Now neither player is part of the roster.
The Ball move already signaled a major turn for Charlotte. The Bridges exit makes it sharper, because it removes the other high-usage scorer who had carried a large share of the offense during the same stretch.
This is not just a depth-chart shuffle. It is a full pivot away from the team's recent identity. The Hornets are choosing a different timeline and a different offensive structure, even if the replacement plan still has to take shape.
