Jimmy Butler's camp is not treating the Warriors trade noise as a real pivot.
Bernie Lee, Butler's agent, responded to the latest rumors by saying Golden State has been "resolute" in its plan to support Butler through rehab and bring him back into the group. Lee pointed to ownership, the front office, coaches and medical staff as being aligned on that approach.
The message was direct because the timing is messy. Butler is working his way back from a major knee injury, the Warriors are still being linked to big swings around the league, and any uncertainty around Stephen Curry's window turns every roster note into something louder.
Lee also framed the injury as a loss of control for Butler. Patience, he said, is being asked from the organization and fans, but he added that it will pay off. Butler's focus, according to Lee, is getting back on the floor and doing his part with the Warriors.
That does not close every possible front-office door. It does, however, make the public position clear: Butler's side is still speaking like this is a Golden State comeback story, not a trade countdown.
