About Vit Krejci

Krejčí is a Czech guard who reached the NBA through the 2020 draft after a decorated youth career in Spain. An ACB All-Young Players Team honoree, he has established himself as a steady rotation guard with multiple franchises.

Born Vít Krejčí on June 19, 2000, in Strakonice, Czech Republic, he played for the youth academy of Sokol Písek. At age 14, he joined Spanish club Zaragoza. On March 5, 2017, at 16 years and eight months, he made his professional debut for Zaragoza, tying as the second-youngest debutant in club history. In 2019–20, he averaged 3.2 points in 9.2 minutes and was named to the ACB All-Young Players Team. He declared for the 2020 NBA draft.

The Washington Wizards selected Krejčí 37th overall in the 2020 NBA draft and traded him to the Oklahoma City Thunder. On January 28, 2021, he signed with the Oklahoma City Blue of the G League, where he rehabbed an ACL injury sustained in Zaragoza. On September 2, 2021, he signed a multi-year deal with the Thunder.

On September 27, 2022, Krejčí was traded to the Atlanta Hawks for Maurice Harkless and draft considerations. He was waived by Atlanta on August 16, 2023, but signed a two-way contract on December 22, 2023. He made 22 appearances (14 starts) in 2023–24, averaging 6.1 points and 2.3 assists. On July 12, 2024, he signed a four-year, $10 million extension with the Hawks. On November 10, 2025, he scored a career-high 28 points against the Clippers. On February 1, 2026, he was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Krejčí has represented the Czech Republic at multiple youth levels and made his senior national team debut in February 2019 during FIBA World Cup qualification.

Krejčí functions as a steady combo guard with shooting range, playmaking ability, and defensive versatility. His Spanish seasoning provided early professional structure. In the NBA, his value centers on floor spacing, backup guard minutes, and providing steady production in reserve backcourt units.
