About Jabari Walker

Walker is an American forward who entered the NBA as the 57th overall pick in the 2022 draft by the Portland Trail Blazers after two seasons at the University of Colorado. He spent two and a half seasons in Portland before signing a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers in July 2025 and converting to a standard deal in February 2026.

Born on July 30, 2002, Walker is the son of Samaki Walker, who played ten seasons in the NBA. He has two basketball-playing siblings: brother Dibaji, who plays in the NBA G League for the Cleveland Charge, and sister Sakima, who played at the University of California, Berkeley. Walker attended Campbell Hall School in Los Angeles for three years before transferring to AZ Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona, for his senior season, where he averaged 13 points, eight rebounds, and 1.5 blocks. He committed to Colorado over California and Saint Mary—s.

Walker made an immediate impact as a Colorado freshman, scoring 24 points on 5-of-5 three-point shooting in an NCAA tournament first-round win over Georgetown. He averaged 7.6 points and 4.3 rebounds and earned Pac-12 All-Freshman Team honors. As a sophomore, he averaged 14.6 points and 9.4 rebounds and was named first-team All-Pac-12. He declared for the 2022 NBA draft and was selected 57th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers, signing his rookie scale contract on July 13, 2022.

During his rookie season with Portland, Walker appeared in 56 games and averaged 3.9 points and 2.3 rebounds. In 2023–24, he made 72 appearances, including 23 starts, and set career highs with 8.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game. His 2024–25 season saw reduced production—5.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 60 games—and included an assignment to the Rip City Remix on February 2, 2025.

Walker is a versatile forward with size, rebounding instincts, and developing perimeter skills. At Colorado, he demonstrated the ability to score inside and stretch the floor, evidenced by his 5-for-5 three-point shooting game in the NCAA tournament. In the NBA, he has functioned as an energy big man who provides interior scoring and boards in limited minutes, with flashes of starting-level production during his 2023–24 campaign.

Walker signed a standard NBA contract with the Philadelphia 76ers on February 19, 2026, after beginning the season on a two-way deal. In 2025–26, he averaged 4.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in 64 appearances, including six starts. He remains part of Philadelphia—s frontcourt rotation.
