At South Carolina, Jackson showed flashes of his scoring potential. He could score inside, from mid-range, and occasionally from three. His confidence and willingness to take big shots stood out, though his efficiency was inconsistent. He was named SEC All-Freshman and was considered one of the top prospects in the 2023 draft.

In Memphis, Jackson's role has been limited as a rookie and sophomore. He has shown flashes of scoring ability and athleticism in limited minutes, but his playing time has been sporadic. The Grizzlies view him as a long-term developmental project who could become a reliable scorer and defender.

His weaknesses are his inconsistent shooting, defensive limitations, and tendency to force difficult shots. His ceiling is as a rotation scorer who provides energy and offensive punch off the bench.

Jackson's résumé includes Ridge View High School, South Carolina, SEC All-Freshman, 15.4 points and 5.9 rebounds as a freshman, the 45th pick by Memphis in 2023, and an ongoing developmental role with the Grizzlies.
