Olivier-Maxence Prosper

Prosper is a Canadian forward who entered the NBA as a first-round pick in 2023 after a decorated college career that included two seasons at Clemson and a breakout junior year at Marquette. Known for his defensive versatility and athleticism, he has developed as a rotation wing for the Dallas Mavericks.

Born on July 3, 2002, in Montreal, Quebec, Prosper grew up in Canada before moving to the United States for high school. He attended the NBA Academy Latin America in Mexico City and later transferred to Culver Military Academy in Indiana. He was rated a four-star recruit and committed to Clemson.

At Clemson, Prosper averaged 3.7 points and 2.1 rebounds as a freshman and 8.5 points and 3.6 rebounds as a sophomore. After the season, he transferred to Marquette. As a junior, he averaged 12.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 0.9 assists and was named to the Big East All-Tournament Team. He declared for the 2023 NBA draft.

The Sacramento Kings selected Prosper with the 24th overall pick and traded him to the Dallas Mavericks. He signed his rookie contract and has spent time between the parent roster and the G League affiliate, focusing on defensive development and offensive refinement.

Prosper is a versatile forward with defensive tenacity, lateral quickness, and the ability to guard multiple positions. Offensively, he attacks closeouts, finishes in transition, and has shown flashes of three-point shooting.
