About Isaiah Stevens

Stevens is an American guard who reached the NBA on a two-way contract with the Sacramento Kings after a record-breaking five-year career at Colorado State. He went undrafted in the 2024 NBA draft, spent time with the Miami Heat and Sioux Falls Skyforce, and signed with Sacramento in July 2025. He holds the Colorado State program records for scoring, assists, and steals.

Born on November 1, 2000, in Allen, Texas, Stevens attended Allen High School, where he led the team to a Class 6A state title as a junior. As a senior, he averaged 21 points and was named District 9-6A co-MVP. He played AAU basketball for Team Faith alongside five-star recruit Greg Brown III. He committed to Colorado State over SMU and Mississippi State.

Stevens began his collegiate career as the Rams' starting point guard and held that role for five seasons. As a freshman, he averaged 13.3 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.1 rebounds, setting the program freshman assist record. He earned Mountain West Freshman of the Year and Third Team All-Mountain West honors. He recorded a freshman season-high of 26 points, 12 assists, and five steals in a triple-overtime win over Tulsa on December 22, 2019, and hit a game-winning buzzer beater against Nevada on January 29, 2020.

As a sophomore, he averaged 15.3 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.3 rebounds and was named Second Team All-Mountain West. The Rams finished 20–8 and reached the NIT semifinals. As a junior, he averaged 14.7 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.2 rebounds, scored a career-high 35 points against UNLV, and helped Colorado State earn a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament—the highest in program history. The Rams finished the season ranked in the AP top 25 for the first time ever.

As a senior, Stevens averaged 17.9 points, 6.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds, leading the Mountain West in assists and earning First Team All-Conference honors. In his fifth year, he was named preseason Mountain West Player of the Year. On November 11, 2023, he set a single-game program record with 14 assists. On January 2, 2024, he surpassed 2,000 career points. He led the Rams to a No. 13 AP Poll ranking, the highest in school history, and to another NCAA Tournament appearance, where they defeated Virginia in the First Four. He averaged 16.0 points, 6.8 assists, and 3.2 rebounds, set a single-season assist record with 245, and repeated as First Team All-Mountain West.

After going undrafted, Stevens signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Miami Heat on July 6, 2024, but was waived on October 19. He joined the Sioux Falls Skyforce on October 28 and signed a two-way contract with Miami on December 26. On July 7, 2025, he signed a two-way deal with the Sacramento Kings.

Stevens is a pass-first point guard with elite court vision and scoring ability at the mid-major level. At Colorado State, he demonstrated the ability to control tempo, distribute, and score efficiently while setting virtually every major program record. His transition to the NBA focuses on adapting his playmaking to the speed and physicality of the professional game.

Stevens remains on a two-way contract with the Sacramento Kings, splitting time between the NBA roster and the Stockton Kings of the NBA G League. His older brother, Barrington, played college basketball at South Alabama before turning professional.
