DeMar DeRozan

DeMar DeRozan is an American professional basketball player who plays as a forward for the Sacramento Kings. Born on August 7, 1989, in Compton, California, DeRozan played one season at USC before the Toronto Raptors selected him ninth overall in the 2009 NBA Draft.

DeRozan spent nine seasons in Toronto, becoming the franchise's all-time leading scorer and forming the 'DeMarvelous' duo with Kyle Lowry. He was traded to San Antonio in 2018 as part of the Kawhi Leonard deal and later signed with Chicago, where he made two All-Star teams and led the league in clutch scoring.

In 2024, DeRozan signed with Sacramento, bringing his veteran scoring to a young playoff team.

Playing Style

DeRozan is a mid-range master. His footwork, pump fakes, and turnaround jumpers are works of art. He doesn't shoot many threes, but his mid-range and post game are elite. He is also a creative passer. Defensively, he is average. His game is old-school, but it still works because of his craft and precision.
