Kevin Love is still waiting for the right landing spot.
The Jazz have shown interest in bringing Love back, according to a report citing Jake Fischer, but the veteran forward is believed to have a different priority. He wants to join a team with real championship ambitions rather than simply return to Utah.
That keeps his free agency in a holding pattern with training camp approaching. Love played 37 games for the Jazz during the 2025-26 season, averaging 6.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists. At 38, his next role is not about volume. It is about shooting, rebounding and playoff-level experience in the right locker room.
The Jazz angle is still notable because Love already has familiarity with Will Hardy and Utah's program. But a return would have to make sense for both sides, and Utah's roster situation has not created an obvious opening.
For now, the report frames Love as a veteran waiting on leverage. If a contender needs frontcourt depth later in camp or during the season, his market could look different quickly.
