LeBron James' Lakers chapter looks bigger when it is separated from everything that came before it.
A Land of Basketball ranking page circulated on Reddit because the numbers are not just symbolic. Across eight seasons with the Lakers from 2019 through 2026, James ranks 10th in franchise points with 12,402, fifth in assists with 3,808 and second in made 3-pointers with 1,020.
The per-game picture is just as strong. Among qualifying Lakers, James is fifth in regular-season points per game at 25.9 and fourth in assists at 7.9. In the playoffs, he is sixth in scoring at 25.6 points per game and third in assists at 7.6.
That is the hook. James was 33 when he played his first game for Los Angeles, yet he still climbed into top-10 territory in franchise totals. He also has 18 regular-season 40-point games as a Laker, sixth in team history, and three 50-point games, fifth on the list.
The Reddit framing was subjective: if these Lakers years were his whole career, he would still have a serious Hall of Fame case. The numbers explain why. The Lakers did not get young LeBron, but they still got a player who reshaped franchise leaderboards and helped deliver a title deep into his 30s.
