Alondes Williams

Williams is an American guard who has navigated the fringes of the NBA through two-way contracts, Exhibit 10 deals, and 10-day stints after a decorated but winding college career. He won ACC Player of the Year at Wake Forest, earned G League Most Improved Player honors, and has logged time with four NBA franchises without securing a permanent rotation spot. His professional trajectory reflects a player who produces at the G League level but faces roster logjams when transitioning to the parent club.

Born on June 19, 1999, Williams attended Riverside University High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he played for coach Tyrone Lewis and averaged 12.3 points per game as a senior. He began his college career at Triton College, a junior college in Illinois. As a freshman, he averaged 13.8 points and 6.3 rebounds and earned First Team All-North Central Community College Conference honors as Triton won the NJCAA Division II national title. In his sophomore season, he raised his numbers to 17 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists and was named N4C Player of the Year.

Williams transferred to the University of Oklahoma for his junior season and averaged 6.0 points and 1.9 rebounds per game. He stayed for his senior year but saw only marginal improvement, averaging 6.7 points and 2.8 rebounds. He opted to use an extra year of eligibility granted during the COVID-19 pandemic and transferred to Wake Forest. On December 11, 2021, he posted the second triple-double in program history—16 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists—in a win over USC Upstate. Three days later, he scored a career-high 36 points in a victory over VMI. He was named ACC Player of the Year for his superlative season.

Despite the ACC accolade, Williams went undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft. The Brooklyn Nets signed him to a two-way contract on July 4, 2022, but waived him on January 12, 2023, after a single regular-season appearance. Six days later, the Long Island Nets reacquired him. On July 24, 2023, he signed with the Miami Heat, was waived in October, and joined the Sioux Falls Skyforce. He earned a two-way deal with Miami on February 9, 2024, and was named the NBA G League Most Improved Player on April 5 after a season of efficient scoring and playmaking in Sioux Falls.

Williams signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Los Angeles Clippers in September 2024 but was waived in October. He then landed a two-way deal with the Detroit Pistons on October 22, 2024, only to be waived again on January 6, 2025. He returned to the Sioux Falls Skyforce on January 12, 2025. In October 2025, he signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Washington Wizards and later converted it into a 10-day contract in February 2026, scoring a career-high 25 points and 10 rebounds in a win over the Indiana Pacers.
