Luka Doncic Says He Is 100 Percent Healthy As Lakers Trip Nears

Luka Doncic's offseason update gave the Lakers the line they needed most.

Doncic said his recovery “went great” and that he is “100% healthy again” after taking a real break from basketball early in the offseason to rehab his body. He added that he has been back in the gym full time for months, mixing strength training, conditioning and on-court work for next season.

The key sentence for Los Angeles came near the end. Doncic said he cannot wait for his teammates to come to Ljubljana and that he is excited to show them where he is from. That lines up with recent reporting that he is organizing a player-led Lakers trip to Slovenia before the season.

For the Lakers, this matters on two levels. First, Doncic's health is the foundation of the roster. If he is truly back to full training, Los Angeles can move into camp with its main creator in place instead of managing uncertainty around his body.

Second, the Ljubljana trip continues a clear leadership shift. Doncic is pulling teammates into his home environment before official work begins, giving a reworked Lakers group a chance to build habits away from training-camp noise.
