Tre Mann

Mann is an American guard who reached the NBA through the 2021 draft after a breakout sophomore season at Florida. Drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder and later traded to the Charlotte Hornets, he has established himself as a scoring guard with deep range and playmaking ability.

Born Tre'shaun Albert Mann on February 3, 2001, he played basketball for The Villages Charter Schools in Florida. As a junior, he averaged 20 points and 5.6 rebounds before suffering a torn meniscus. As a senior, he averaged 23.6 points and 4.9 rebounds and was named Daily Commercial All-Area Player of the Year. He was selected to the McDonald's All-American Game and Jordan Brand Classic.

Mann was considered a five-star recruit by 247Sports and Rivals and committed to Florida on August 28, 2018, over Kansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina. As a freshman, he averaged 5.3 points and declared for the 2020 NBA draft before announcing his return to Florida. In his sophomore season debut, he scored 19 points against Army. On March 12, 2021, he scored a career-high 30 points against Tennessee in the SEC tournament. He averaged 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.4 steals and was named First Team All-SEC by the coaches and Second Team by the media.

The Oklahoma City Thunder selected Mann 18th overall in the 2021 NBA draft. He signed on August 8, 2021. On April 9, 2023, he recorded his first career triple-double with 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists against Memphis. On February 8, 2024, he was traded to the Charlotte Hornets along with multiple players and picks for Gordon Hayward. On July 13, 2025, he re-signed with Charlotte on a three-year, $24 million contract.

Mann functions as a shifty scoring guard with deep range, ball-handling creativity, and the ability to create off the dribble. His Florida breakout season demonstrated three-level scoring potential. In the NBA, his development centers on three-point consistency, defensive engagement, and establishing himself as a primary offensive option in Charlotte's backcourt.
