Gui Santos

Santos is a Brazilian guard who reached the NBA through the undrafted free-agent route after a decorated youth and professional career in Brazil. A product of the Minas club system, he brought international experience and versatile wing skills to the Golden State Warriors.

Born Guilherme Carvalho dos Santos on June 22, 2002, he made his professional debut with Minas of the Novo Basquete Brasil during the 2018–19 season at age 16. He averaged 6.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 23 minutes per game, demonstrating early versatility on both ends of the court. He continued to develop with Minas over the next several seasons, expanding his role and production.

Santos declared for the 2022 NBA draft and was selected by the Golden State Warriors. He remained in Brazil for the 2022–23 season before joining the Warriors organization. He has split time between Golden State and their G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Santos functions as a versatile wing with size, playmaking vision, and defensive versatility. His early professional seasoning in Brazil provided valuable experience against grown competition. In the NBA, his development centers on three-point consistency, defensive positioning, and carving out a rotation role as an international wing.
