Will Richard

Richard is an American guard who reached the NBA through the 2025 draft after a decorated college career split between Belmont and Florida. A key contributor on Florida's 2025 national championship team, he has established himself as a scoring guard with deep range and defensive tenacity.

Born William Richard on December 24, 2002, in Fairburn, Georgia, he attended Woodward Academy alongside future Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler. As a senior, he averaged 24.0 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.1 steals, earning first-team All-State honors and finishing his career with over 1,000 points and 90 wins. He helped Woodward win the Georgia 4A State Championship as a junior.

Richard committed to Belmont for college. As a freshman in 2021–22, he averaged 12.1 points and six rebounds while shooting 32.6 percent from three, earning Ohio Valley Conference all-newcomer team honors. After the season, he entered the NCAA transfer portal and moved to Florida.

At Florida, Richard started 30 of 32 games in 2022–23, averaging 10.4 points and 4.5 rebounds. In 2023–24, he averaged 11.4 points and 3.9 rebounds. As a senior in 2024–25, he had standout performances including 26 points against Stetson, 30 points against Georgia, and 25 points against Texas A&M. In the national championship game against Houston, he scored 18 points, including all four of his three-pointers in the first half, in a 65–63 comeback win.

The Memphis Grizzlies selected Richard 56th overall in the 2025 NBA draft and traded him to the Golden State Warriors. He signed his first contract on September 29, 2025, and had his first career start on November 5, scoring a career-high 30 points.
