Seth Curry

Curry is an American guard who built an NBA career through the G League and multiple short-term contracts after going undrafted in 2013. The son of former NBA sharpshooter Dell Curry and the younger brother of Stephen Curry, he has established himself as one of the most efficient three-point shooters in league history.

Born Seth Adham Curry on August 23, 1990, in Charlotte, North Carolina, he grew up watching his father play for the Charlotte Hornets. He attended Charlotte Christian School, where he averaged 22.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists as a senior while shooting 52 percent from the field. He earned all-conference, all-state, and first-team SAA All-American honors.

Curry played one season at Liberty University, leading all freshmen nationally with 20.2 points per game and breaking the Big South Conference single-season scoring record for a freshman. He transferred to Duke and sat out the 2009–10 season per NCAA rules. At Duke, he was named a starter after a toe injury sidelined Kyrie Irving. He scored a season-high 22 points against North Carolina and finished his senior year on the All-ACC first team and as a second-team All-American by The Sporting News.

After going undrafted in 2013, Curry signed with the Golden State Warriors but was waived in October. He played for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the D-League, recording 36 points in his debut. He signed 10-day contracts with Memphis, Cleveland, and Phoenix before earning a multi-year deal with Sacramento. He has since played for Dallas, Portland, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and returned to Golden State.

Curry ranks seventh in NBA history in career three-point field goal percentage. He has carved out a role as a specialist shooter who moves without the ball, knocks down catch-and-fire opportunities, and provides spacing for primary offensive creators.

Curry functions as a knockdown shooter with elite off-ball movement and a quick release. His journey from undrafted free agent to established rotation player underscores persistence and specialized skill development.
